Barbro as my music teacher

I had Barbro as a music teacher in middle– and high school. She was good at putting the music into context and making you experience it as an important part of life. She had much respect in the best sense. With her presence, energy and humour and her enthusiam for music and her knowledge, she always made the music lesson a treat.

Barbro as my mentor

As a mentor, Barbro is a rock. She has a wide palette of great knowledge and rich experiences that she generously shares. She combines, skillfully, instrumental playing, song/choir, theory, music history and dance to an educational whole. Barbro helped me to appreciate the meaningfulness and joy to be a music teacher and gave me confidence in a pedagogically challenging everyday life.

You are so pedagogical – you straight away what we have not done or what we can do and help us with what is necessary to make us proceed in a wonderful way.

I missed the song when you were not there. I do not wish anything more than what you provide. The singing every time we met has been of great importance to me.

Homework is good. More information about the work in the different classes.

Flute practice must be taken seriously – not by you but by us. Make demands!
